HI BEAUTIFUL SOULS!

Whatever brought you here today, whatever incredible synchronicity or curiosity, I am honored to receive you! 

My name is Soula (pronounced soul-la). I use she/her pronouns. I’m a cis woman of color residing on the occupied land of the Lenape people, otherwise known as Fort Greene, Brooklyn in my case. 

A few years ago, after a decade of social justice advocacy, human rights grantmaking, and philanthropy work, something inside me that I had never experienced before began to guide me, to speak to me. An undeniable yearning surfaced from deep within me – my soul was directing me on a spiritual path toward personal liberation and healing. 

At the time, I didn’t know what that meant. But my inner guidance helped me to start remembering, leading me towards growth and expansion, ultimately to serve as a supportive bridge between the physical and unseen worlds in service of the highest good for myself and others. It helped me remember my purpose in this life.

My decision to center my work around marginalized identities is motivated in part by my own experience as a person of color seeking culturally competent practitioners to support and guide me. My sadness and rage at the exploitative appropriation of indigenous healing practices that I experienced made me realize just how vital a safe space is for the BIPOC community’s healing. 

I quickly came to see both spiritual growth and human rights philanthropy as forms of healing, and I understood that by bringing the two together I could begin weaving holistic energy healing into everything I do. In addition to meeting with folks one-on-one, I now facilitate embodiment and meditation practices for social justice and philanthropic organizations. 

Through this journey, I have connected with the wisdom of my body and spirit – grabbing hold of my divinity and personal power with both hands, using my voice to speak truth to healing. Working to shift paradigms and reimagine social structures for collective betterment through my spiritual gifts and within the philanthropic space, I have dedicated my life to the journey and joy of liberation. 

I’m so grateful to be able to provide a safe space for my community where we can do our truth-seeking work. I am deeply honored that we get to heal the wounds of our lineage together – creatively, joyfully, expansively – as we forge a new path forward that lifts us up in connection, in community, in power.
